Public bug reported:

Installation of Xubuntu 26.04 beta with default partitioning scheme into
VirtualBox 7.2.6 PUEL license keeps locking up. This has been an issue
since I started testing the Resolute beta releases.

This time I grabbed a screen shot of how far the installer got.... I had
the terminal progress window visible. Also I tar.bzipped the target
/var/log directory.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "Tar Bzip backup of the VM's /var/log directory structure"
