I'm copying a few comments from matrix:

I am ok with Shotwell not being in the expanded install. I think Seb likes it? eog had no image editing ability but Loupe has basic image editing. I think you'd need a freeze exception if y'all want to make that change for resolute.
Seb:
would need a FFe for sure. Shotwell does provide things viewers don't, editing was one, but also browsing a library accross subdirs, doing import from PTP cameras, etc
