Hi Jeff,
Here are my response:
1)When you say "Install" what way are you installing this? Does the installation complete and it fails on first boot, or does the installer fail and it can't even get that far?
<Conie>The installation completes and it fails on first boot.
2)You're also doing, apparently, multipath on an external eSATA/eSAS device?
<Conie> We installed Ubuntu 26.04 on one of mutipath devices.
3)Does this work with 24.04 and 25.10?
<Conie> I have requested our tester to verify if the symptom persists. I will update the results here once available.
4)And when you say "Append the "rd.auto"," what do you mean? HOW are you appending it to allow this to work? Can you show a diff of the stock vs updated rd.auto?
<Conie>
4.1) We appended "rd.auto" to the Ubuntu 26.04 installer boot parameters. After completing the installation, the OS can boot successfully.
4.2) Currently, the tester has only provided a screenshot without "rd.auto". I have requested the tester to re-run the test with the latest Ubuntu 26.04 build to check if the symptom persists. If it does, I will provide the rdsosreport.txt here.
