I've uploaded Max's merge because I don't want to run out of time before
FF, but there is still a infra autopkgtest failure I cannot reproduce,
and one I have that infra cannot reproduce.

It does build and work fine (as far as I can tell), so I am 99% sure
this is a testsuite regression, we had that happen many times in the
past.

I will see what fails now and maybe do a follow up bugfix only upload if
necessary.
