@opensas
What I know wont work:
- speakers
- microphone
- KVM virtualization
- Camera is buggy
- Good battery saving like windows (about 6hrs on the OLED version with moderate load, 50% brightness and with ubuntu and kernel 6.17+)
If you need any of these right now you can wait a bit longer for dell to
support the recently release intel panther lake laptops ( i hear those
will support ubuntu out of the box) or you can wait longer for the xps
laptops with snapdragon x2 chips to be released assuming dell will
release a new xps 13 with the x2 chips
** Not sure if windows hello works but fingerprint works perfectly for auth login and pam with sudo.
>From my experience I enjoy using the the xps 13 9345 32 GB RAM, it has
good performance (compiling small and large Rust projects), the camera
and speakers are of no concern since I use bluetooth earphones, I do
miss KVM though and support from the team on how to enable KVM on this
particular laptop is non-existent :(
