You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have a working auto install for Ubuntu 24.04 Noble, which I am
attempting to get working using today's Snapshot 4 Release -
ubuntu-26.04-snapshot4-live-server-amd64

Instead it fails with a python error - Module Not Found curtin.vendor

See the attached photo from my PC

I was testing using a KVM virtual machine:

truncate -s 4T /tmp/disk.img

kvm -no-reboot -m 2048 -drive
file=/tmp/disk.img,format=raw,cache=none,if=virtio -cdrom
/home/david/Downloads/iso/ubuntu-26.04-snapshot4-live-server-amd64.iso
-kernel ubuntu-resolute-snap4-kernelimage -initrd ubuntu-
resolute-snap4-initrd -append 'autoinstall ds=nocloud-
net;s=http://_gateway:3003/'

Where the kernel and initrd where obtained by mounting the ISO image and
copying them from the casper directory.

In another tab I served the curtin configuration files with:
python3 -m http.server 3003

** Affects: curtin
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
