Title:
IPv4 method set to DHCP before WiFi connection causes network loss and
  console-conf to crash

Status in subiquity:

Status in subiquity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Running official Ubuntu Core 24 (64-bit) images on the Raspberry Pi 4
Model B 8GB, either downloaded directly from the official Ubuntu
website or written via the Raspberry Pi Imager tool.

When configuring a new device using console-conf, if the IPv4 method
is set to DHCP before successfully connecting to a WiFi network,
console-conf is unexpectedly reset. This results in the network
configuration being lost and forces the user to repeat the setup
  process.

Attached is the captured image of the crash.
