Another occurance of this was found in samba, when ucf was triggered in
postinst[1].

Reproducer:

$ date +"%F %T" --date @1773079891
date: extra operand '--date'

In questing, with rust-coreutils 0.2.2-0ubuntu2.1:
$ date +"%F %T" --date @1773079891
2026-03-09 15:11:31

Bug description:
  found with installs and tests for `aide`. From upstream, likely
  affects `strace` as well. Already committed upstream, so awaiting
