Bug description:
  OS: Ubuntu Studio 26.04 daily cdimage build (note that the livefs
  builds from Michael Hudson-Doyle's recent work on ISO builds fail the
  same way)

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Download the ISO and boot it in VirtualBox.
  2. Proceed through the installation wizard, accepting all default options. I chose the username "User" and a password of "z".
  3. Wait for the installation to complete.

  Expected result: Installation succeeds.

  Actual result: After a long time, a "We're not sure what the error is"
  screen appears and the installation fails.
