I can confirm that updating to rpicam-apps 1.11.1-1ubuntu2 solves the
issue for me.

Bug description:
  On a Raspberry Pi 5, running the nightly of Ubuntu 26.04 Desktop, I
  installed `rpicam-apps`. There is a Raspberry Pi Global Shutter camera
  connected. `rpicam-hello` fails to start up.

  This worked on 25.04 Desktop.
