The current implementation of the setup of the live environment, casper,
is currently pretty dependent on initramfs-tools. It would have been
nice to have ported it to dracut / reimplemented all the things it does
but it hasn't happened in time for release. It is what it is.

Title:
Use dracut instead of initramfs in the live environment

Status in dracut package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged
Status in livecd-rootfs package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Obs: I'm reporting for dracut, but I'm not sure what project is. I
couldn't find something like cloud-image for the non-cloud images.

When we boot a machine using a daily-live iso (I used the one from
2026-03-11), it still uses initramfs, not dracut.

You can check executing in the terminal in the live environment: `dpkg
  -l|grep dracut`.

If the desktop version uses dracut, IMHO, it's expected that dracut is
also installed in the live environment.
