  Install command does not respect symbolic links

Status in rust-coreutils package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Install -D to /bin or /sbin does not respect symbolic links. It
  creates a new directory there and installs the files but in doing so
  wipes access to all the existing links present in /bin and /sbin ie
  lsmod, depmod etc…

  Filed a bug upstream with GitHub.com/uutils/coreutils/issues/12166

  Obviously an issue with Ubuntu 26.04
