[Bug 2152927] [NEW] Upgrading to 26.04 LTS "Resolute Racoon" resulted in an error even though I removed my unsupported packages.

Public bug reported:

When running sudo do-release-upgrade I get an error message and it
doesn't update my system.

My current version is 25.10 "Questing Quokka".

The package I am using is the one downloaded from sudo do-release-
upgrade.

I expected to have my OS upgraded to Resolute Racoon.

I instead got the following error message:


Calculating the changes

Could not determine the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the 
command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If 
you want to investigate this yourself the log files in 
'/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade. 
Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log'. 


Restoring original system state


The upgrade process then stopped.
