Same thing for me immediately after upgrading from 25.10 to 26.04.
Attaching zipped dist-upgrade directory found in /var/log/ as suggested
above. This after attempting to (re)install ubuntu-settings as shown
below:
(base) kevin at HPdesk:~$ sudo apt install ubuntu-settings
[sudo: authenticate] Password:
ubuntu-settings is already the newest version (26.04.6).
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
libwmf-0.2-7 libwmf-0.2-7-gtk
Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them.

Bug description:
my ubuntu taskbar disappeared and when I go to settings>ubuntu desktop this messages appears "no ubuntu settings found" and "oops, something has gone wrong. Please report a bug in Launchpad". I think I deleted some package wrongly while trying to use tactile app and gnome-extensions. Can you guys help me? Didnt find anything on internet.
