Hi there Alan! Thanks for the bug report. I'm glad you seem to have
sorted out the issue. Based on the information we have, I'm unsure
whether this is a bug or as you say a mistake. I will as such mark this
as "Won't fix" for the ubuntu-release-upgrader package. If you have any
further problems, feel free to file a new bug.

Title:
  Samba installation

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Samba may not have installed correctly, resulting in loss of  PC's visibility on network tab in File Manager.
  It was re-installed and now works, the Network tab now shows the home PC.
  So this may not be a real bug, possibly a mistake by me when initially installing Samba on new Lubuntu 26.04 LTS.

  The report was generated before I re-installed Samba.
