The MSR register 0x0179[7:0], the value may differ from core to core, so the value is inconsistent under AMD platform rather than failed?

MSR 0x017B

The MSR register 0x017B, the value is inconsistent from core to core under our AMD platform. I am not sure this is normal behavior or not.

I found a copy of AMD datasheet and it says below in 3.1.9 Machine Check Initialization. I think this is indeed a failure.

"The Core::X86::Msr::MCG_CTL register must be programmed identically for all cores in a processor."
