   * New maintainer: as agreed with bartm
   * configure.in, openpty.c: GNU's openpty(3) is now detected and used.
     Closes: #388036.
   * debian/rules: Set DEB_AUTO_UPDATE_AUTO{HEADER,CONF} to 2.61. Now
     config.h.in and configure will be recreated at build time. (This will
     be undone once upstream accepts the patch to configure.in.)
   * makefile.in: Commented out mandatory strip. (Closes: #438380).
