Hi,
The Canonical GR data centre experienced an unplanned network outage
this afternoon. We started having problems around 13:05 GMT with the
link going up and down. The issues were fully resolved by 13:50 GMT.
The problem appears to have been a memory leak in one of our primary
upstream's routers. Unfortunately this came at a very unfortunate
time as we were in the middle of transitioning to a new secondary
provider and as a result we were vulnerable to losing even one link
while this was happening.
We've now rectified this in the short term so that we're using two
redundant links to our primary provider. And by Friday, at the
latest, our new secondary provider link will also be live further
increasing our redundancy and resiliency.
We're very sorry for the downtime and any inconvenience caused.
