Hi All
Robie and I took a look at 2.4.0 this week; aside from having to fixup
ARM support again (we will try to get the changes upstreamed) we would
also need to update the pymongo version in raring as well - the
relevant version is released tomorrow (Friday).
Aside from Go Juju, the other dependencies we have in Ubuntu on
MongoDB are Ceilometer; I discussed with some of the upstream devs and
they have done 0 testing with 2.4 as you might expect; and I also have
an outstanding ping to Dustin Kirkland re one of Gazzangs projects
that uses mongodb as well.
As we are after feature freeze and due to the a) the fact this is a .0
release and b) no-one has done any amount of testing yet I'm not going
to ask for Feature Freeze exception for raring - however we will land
2.4.x series as soon as S opens.
Summary; Raring will ship 2.2.3 with backports of 2.2.3 to quantal and
precise.
David - if you have issues with 2.2.3 post release we can fix stuff
through the SRU process.
