It's done, since nobody objected before. I'm not sure about removing
auto-sync. Ian made reasonable arguments earlier in the thread.

Okay. I still prefer to keep --source to sync-tools, but I've thought of a
cleanish way to reinstate --source, so I'll do that for now.
