I don't think that will happen. The bug was targeted to 1.16.4 but was
pushed out because the fix breaks 1.16.X command line compatibility.
The current release of 1.16.4 is in discussion at this moment as
containing features, not fixes.

We might do a quick redefinition of 1.18 to provide features for
current deployments and papercuts. 1.20 would contain more more
complex features.
