Recover from 'Agent is lost'

[manual provider] after rebooting a machine that contained lxc container
units, Juju displays 'agent is lost' for those containers

However, after reboot, the containers came back up again, and now I'm able
to `juju ssh` to them without problem. Why is the agent still lost?
