Anita, can you see what happens if you try these commands?

  lxc list
  lxc launch ubuntu:
  lxc list

If those work without trouble then your LXD container hypervisor is
working fine. If not, you need to setup LXD :)

Once that is working, then you can bootstrap Juju onto that hypervisor.
