Hi,
I've a similar problem but, in my case, I'm not using a SMP kernel (uname -a
returns "Linux newton 2.6.10-5-386 #1 Tue Apr 5 12:12:40 UTC 2005 i686
GNU/Linux"). My machine is a Notebook Acer Travelmate 2200. My keyboard doesn't
work with "acpi=on" (default) option. But i've noticed that after press "sysrq"
(only sysrq) key my keyboard magically starts to work.
This problem didn't occur when i put a "acpi=off" in my kernel options but my
notebook doesn't have APM support and without ACPI and APM support i can't see
my battery status.
I'll reboot my machine with "acpi=on" option and attach dmesg output to this
bug. What other files will be useful to identify this problem?
I've attached my dmesg output in bug #5807 (in other acpi related bug).
