The system seems to get stable if I underclock the FSB from 133 MHz to 128 MHz,
so it is almost (almost?) certainly a hardware issue. Yeah, you were right.
Though it remains a mistery how does my system survive a stress test at 135 MHz
for two hours (as it did) but crashes at 133 MHz running folding at home. Anyway,
sorry for wasting your time. 

You may change the status of this bug as you wish, I'll leave it up to you.
