To boot from a USB 2.0 drive after installation, I had to make a new initrd.img
with 2 modifications: add module ehci_hcd and a delay of a few seconds. This is
with the kernel shipped with Hoary, i.e. kernel 2.6.10-5-386.

Could this be related?
