I also have this problem with a Dell Latitude D600 Laptop and 2.6.10-5-386
kernel running hoary.
I noticed when I actually use the wlan to surf the Internet or to download a big
file it doesn t drop the connection. I can download a big iso file for hours
with no problem.
But if I log in and don t use the internet or the network, after a while (maybe
10 min.) the interface drops and I have to rmmod ipw2200 and modprobe ipw2200 to
get it back.
