Synaptic says that the installed version is 2.6.10-7 and it was downloaded from
the main ubuntu repository.
However, I didn't know about dmesg. Thanks :) Turns out it has to do with the
filenames not being convertable.
Puzzles me why this has changed though since the BeFS driver hasn't changed for
a long time to my knowledge. Could be just that though.

dmesg output:
BeFS(hda3): Name using character set cp437 contains a character that cannot be
converted to unicode.
