I have a similar problem with 2.6.11 but here -noinotify doesn't seem to help.

The dying message in my system is:

scheduling while atomic:gam_server/0xffffffff/8118

this is repeated 7 times and then:

Kernel panic -not syncing:Aiee, Killing interrupt handler!
