I have the experience as above with an IBM ThinkPad 600e using a PCMCIA wireless
card 3com 3CRPAG175, with interface ath0.  Installing Hoary, networking failed
to make a connection, but the ath0 driver is installed.
After install, I have tried iwconfig+iwpriv+ifup+dhclient never yet obtaining a
lease.
