First of all: sorry for my bad english; this is my first bug.

Kernel 2.6.12-6-k7 detects my deveices:
$ dmesg | grep hd[c-d]
[4294671.104000]ide1: BM-DMA at 0xb808-0xb80f, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:DMA
[4294672.691000] hdc: AOPEN 16XDVD-ROM/AMH 20020328, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
[4294673.405000] hdd: _NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
[4294684.742000] hdc: ATAPI 48X DVD-ROM drive, 512kB Cache
[4294684.745000] hdd: ATAPI 40X DVD-ROM DVD-R CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache

But the dev-filesystem does not give me the deveices:
$ ls -l /dev/hd[a-z]
brw-rw----  1 root disk 3,  0 2005-08-04 23:36 /dev/hda
brw-rw----  1 root disk 3, 64 2005-08-04 23:36 /dev/hdb

dmesg also shows:
$ dmesg | grep -i cdrom
[4294689.337000] cdrom: open failed.

maybe any relations to #9215 ?
