Confirmed that problem still exists with the 2.6.15-7 kernel. In addition while
testing I had a hard lockup (kernel?) which required a manual power down. If you
would like more detailed information as the kernel stabilizes let me know.
Perhaps a standard test using either nautilus or cdrecord?
