Summary: ipw2200 + WEP fails due to missing arc4 kernel module
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: linux
        AssignedTo: fabbione at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: email at steffenweber.net
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I am unable to configure wirless networking during Hoary installation with my
ipw2200 on a Thinkpad R51. It fails to get an ip-address using dhcp, but judging
from the dmesg output the error happens earlier, it cannot associate with my
access point, because the arc4 kernel module is missing. dmesg says:

ieee80211_crypt_web: could not allocate crypto API arc4

According to
http://hexenkueche.serverkommune.de/wiki/index.php/IBM_Thinkpad_R50e that
happens when the arc4 module is missing.
