Thanks to Manoj for the howto on making a new initrd under ubuntu, I was able to
test this and it seems to fix the problem. I haven't tested it extensively but
the system booted the 2.6.10-4-smp kernel with that aic7xxx.ko kernel module and
I don't get the rogue ahc_dv_0 process anymore. I'll attach a new dmesg for your
persual.
