Oh weird.  It's now working on my desktop machine with 6629, but not on this
other desktop.

Then, I go and uninstall nvidia-glx and linux-restricted-modules-2.6.10-5-386
and reinstall and they work now.  I never installed the nvidia drivers 'by hand'
on this machine.  I'll keep track of my other warty -> hoary upgrades to see if
I get this behavior again, but for now I guess I'll mark this as INVALID unless
I can reproduce it again.

The card is a

0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34GL [Quadro FX
500] (rev a1)
