Hello, I have disabled DRI and the freezings and crashes persist. Maybe I
should have said so earlier, I was running the k7 kernel (with an original
Athlon), and have now changed to the generic 386 kernel. For a while all was
well and good with this kernel, but just now I got an Oops and X died, although
gdm came around and I was able to login again. I have the logs handy if you
need them.
