My laptop is an hp omnibook 4150.
This is the first set up of ubuntu on this laptop
the sound card is integrated but I have no detection on my 256 av audio chip
(neomagic 2200) with ubuntu 5.10
the command sudo dkpg-reconfigure alsa-base give me any response
I also type this command: sudo alsactl store but the result is:
alsactl: save_state:1163: No soundcards found...

I type the command lspci and the last line is the description of my soundcard:
