If you used the boot configuration tool, this is a duplicate of bug #15638.  If
you edited the file by hand, then you need to place your custom entries outside
of the automatic update markers (there are instructions in the file), and this
is a duplicate of bug #15188.

The upgrade process does not do any searching for other operating systems, but
it does preserve the entries created by the installer, and custom entries which
are correctly placed.
