Summary: framebuffer boot errors
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: linux
AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: madman2k at gmx.de
QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
if i add the boot option vga=795 I'm getting the error:
insmod: cant read /lib/modules/2.6.12-9-k7/initrd/vesafb.ko no such file or
directory
and usplash is not being displayed, but the boot process itself runs fine.
If I remove the vga thing, there is no error and usplash shows up, but
disappears when the services show up.
like you can see its the k7 kernel.
I also ahve to add that this is not a clean RC install, but a updated colony. So
this might be not a bug.
