Sorry for the delay.  Called out of town.  

Ben, menu.lst was set correctly, but I reinstalled the new kernel, seems to have
solved problem.  Must have been a glitch in the install.  Can't reproduce now
(though I reproduced several times before reporting the bug).  Mark closed or as
you like.
