Bug #14765 seems like a separate issue; the message you are seeing:

[ 363.504485] Restarting system

indicates that the kernel is attempting to reboot the hardware.  By this time,
all processes except init itself have been sent the KILL signal.  I don't see
how you could still have a shell running at that point.
