After hibernating apparently successfully on ThinkPad T42, restart proceeds 
normally, reads data from memory, two lines of "GTM Info" appear on the 
console, and then the screen turns bluish-gray and goes blank with a blinking 
cursor. No keystrokes have any effect; hard powerdown required.

Fresh install of 23 Sept daily ISO on main hard disk (no LVM) of a ThinkPad 
T42; standard install with manual partitioning, including swap drive 2X size 
of memory. Problem is absolutely reproducable; same problem observed on 
dailies with this machine for the past week.
