  Acer Ferrari 4005 laptop with Broadcom 802.11g network adapter. 
+ Location: PCI bus 6, device 2, function 0
  On load, both wireless card and lan are detected, but wireless config does not find my (unsecure) wireless network.
  I can load Ubuntu with wired connection no problem, but still cannot configure wireless. On/off button does not work and no icon appears on screen to add WLAN0 or whatever, per instruction below.

  Maybe I am doing it wrong, but there seems to be a problem.
