[Bug 38859] The boot CD does not work on Cyrix

Description:
I tried installing on my test system (some Intel VX/LX chipset, a Cyrix
cpu, 64MB ram, Mitsumi 8x atapi cd-rom).

I tried the option to check the CD which failed with a kernel panic.
The option to install to disk failed with similar panic after language and keyboard layout selection.

The panic is "exception in interrupt" or somesuch, and some functions
like read_cdrom appear in the stack trace.
