Public bug reported:

With 2.6.15-23-686 kernel system hang's up 3 seconds after GDM is
loaded.

Dell Latitude D800 fully upgraded to 6.06 Dapper Drake with nvidia-glx,
kernel 2.6.15-23-686 & restricted modules.
