Hi there!, The Ubuntu 6.10 releases for both 32 and 64 bits have the same problem... they fail to detect the network adapter and the installation halts abruptly... Jim -- kubuntu 6.06 LTS does not support Realtek 8139 network card https://launchpad.net/bugs/48456
