[Bug 76051] Ctrl-Alt-F1 freezes system

Public bug reported:

When I press Ctrl-Alt-F1 system freezes, even mouse cursor does not
move. To reproduce the bug, I have to reboot (by going to the power
switch) and give it some uptime and use before hitting Ctrl-Alt-F1
again.

I am using up-to-date Xubuntu Dapper on a oldish PC.  I have Matrox
Graphics, Inc. Millennium G450 32Mb SDRAM Dual Head video controller,
and I guess it is ran by mga driver. Maybe it causes the problem? I have
also had problems such as bug 63844 in this system.
