More information I collected today.

Kernel version is 2.6.12-9-386.

The system reported the card properties as following:
lspci -v
0000:03:00.0 Network controller: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface
        Subsystem: Abocom Systems Inc: Unknown device ab80
        Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 10
        Memory at 10820000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
        Memory at 10800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
        Capabilities: <available only to root>

But it isn't a TI chipset. A prism54 driver is installed, but an acx
driver is using instead. Why?
