Sorry. I verified that its because of the initramfs-tools package was
screwed up. I added an elive source to my list a couple of days ago and
somehow this package got sneaked into my system and jacked up the boot
process. I've replaced back to the ubuntu one and it all works great
now. Sorry for the confusion and Congrats for the Dapper release!
