Thank you Ben, that is excellent news. Too bad it didn't make it into
the release.

This may not be the appropriate place to ask but I have failed to get an
answer elsewhere.

Since this fixes a kernel glitch in addition to being a chipset driver
needed to install dapper for anyone who has this board and a single
sata2 drive, will this kernel update be merged into the live cd?

I can put the drive on the sata controller, install, download the
updates, fix the boot configuration and move the drive to the sata2
controller. But that will probably be a bit more involved than most
users can handle.
